Orangutan Tour and Ecotourism could be your perfect getaway, deep in the tropical jungle. Come and explore Tanjung Puting National Park for 3 days Orangutan Tour and Ecotourism. You’ll see all three camps in the national park where orangutans come during feeding time in the morning or afternoon. Stay overnights on board and wake up in the morning. Let your soul be refreshed by the sound of nature.

You go to Dayak village, see the longhouse, meet the local and do trekking in the jungle in Central Borneo. The local will make a tent for sleep in the jungle. During the day you will explore and do trekking. You will go to bee farming to see the bee and pump the honey from the nest.

Tour's Program

ISKANDAR AIRPORT/HOTEL – KUMAI – NATIONAL PARK – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP – PROBOSCIS MONKEY — HOUSEBOAT ( L,D )

-Arrival in Pangkalan Bun airport in the morning. Or pick up at the hotel.
-Upon your arrival, our friendly tour guide will assist you to the klotok (houseboat) port in Kumai. It takes around 20 minutes drive from the airport/hotel to Kumai.
-You’ll be transferred to Klotok. The journey to Tanjung Puting National Park will begin shortly.
-Lunch will be served on board.
-After 2 hours of cruising Kumai and Sekonyer River, Klotok will reach the jetty of Camp Tanjung Harapan. From the jetty, it takes around 30 minutes trekkingto the feeding platform. This will be your first encounter with wild orangutans. The feeding time in Camp Tanjung Harapan begins at 15:00 PM.
-From Tanjung Harapan, klotok will cruise deeper to the National Park.
-You may find congregation of proboscis monkeys sitting at branches of trees along the riverbank in late afternoon.
-When it gets dark, Klotok will stop and park at a riverbank.
-Dinner will be served on board.
-Free time in the evening.
-Stay overnight on board.
HOUSEBOAT – PONDOK TANGGUI – CAMP LEAKEY – HOUSEBOAT.

-After breakfast, Klotok will proceed to the jetty of Pondok Tanggui.
-From the jetty, it takes around 30 minutes trekking to the feeding platform. The feeding time in Pondok Tanggui begins at 09:00 AM.
-If you want to get a better natural picture of wild orangutans here, it’s strongly recommended to use appropriate lenses for long distance shooting.
-From Pondok Tanggui, Klotok will proceed to the legendary Camp Leakey. This camp becomes a legend because long-term research on orangutans has been conducting here since 1971.
-The cook of Klotok will serve you lunch on board before you’re off to exploring the Camp Leakey. It takes around 40 minutes trek from the jetty straight to the feeding platform.
-The feeding time in Camp Leakey begins at 14:00 PM.
-You may experience close encounter with wild orangutans in Camp Leakey. It’s the best location for taking photographs with orangutans in the wild. However, it’s strongly recommended to keep a safe distance from orangutans.
-When you’re ready, walking back to the jetty.
-Klotok will cruise slowly back toward Kumai.
-When it gets dark, Klotok will stop and park at a riverbank.
-Dinner will be served on board.
-Free time in the evening.
-Stay overnight on board.
HOUSEBOAT-SPOTTING WILDLIFE BY CANOE-SEKONYER VILLAGE-HOTEL (B,L,D)

HOTEL –DAYAK VILLAGE - LONGHOUSE OR HOMESTAY

-After early breakfast.
-You have two options destination;KINIPAN village OR KUDANGAN Village by car about 5 hours. Pass several villages, palm oil plantation, rubber plantation, local comunities plantation and forest.
-We will stop for lunch on the way. Upon arrival at Kudangan Village after 5 hours drive, our guide will take you to the longhouse for your accommodation If you choose Kinpan village as destination or stay at Homestay at Kudangan village as destination.
-Sightseeing around the villages.
-After dinner they will ringing their gong or one of their music instrument to gathering together for welcome ceremony. It will be many people will join with youin this ceremony ( the villagers )
-Overnight at Longhouse (Kinipan) or Homestay (Kudangan )

Staying at Kinipan village: mat with mosquito net, river bathroom, villager's bathroom, bucket bath, traditional cooking
Staying at Kudangan village: stay at Homestay, bed, mosquito net, bathroom, shower, western toilet, local restaurant
LONGHOUSE DAYAK VILLAGE - TREKKING – SLEEP IN THE JUNGLE nearby the Waterfall (Muhur Waterfall)

-After breakfast, you go to the forest and trekking, here you can choise how many hours you wanna walk on the forest. The Village are denied the palm oil plantation so their forest still good.
-Simple lunch in the jungle
-In Trekking (You may find wild Orangutan, bird, deer and other wildlife)
-Make simple tent
-Sleep in the jungle nearby the waterfall
JUNGLE-PANGKALAN BUN-HOTEL.

-After breakfast transfer by our car who is waiting on street to bring us back to Pangkalan Bun.
-It takes 5 hours driving back. You will get lunch while you are on the way back. You will droped to the hotel
-Dinner at local restaurant.
